Since I have become addicted to stitching 'smalls', I have been having trouble finding a way to display them that I am happy with. So I thought I'd ask - how does everyone else do it? I have seen needlerolls in baskets and a large glass containter - I have my own in a basket (pictured) . I have seen biscornus in a basket or a patty cake holder. But what do I do with the ornaments (when not hanging on the tree at Xmas), the scissor fobs, scissor pockets, cupcakes, needlebooks, tins, boxes etc etc etc lol Nothing I can come up with seems to do them justice. And of course space becomes an issue here as well lol.
So......... I'd love to hear if anyone has any brilliant ideas they use or have thought of!
While I think of it...... I have been getting back in the Christmas Ornament mood - here is the first for a while. It is a freebie from
Daffycat's blog.

Love your basket of needlerolls! I have been displayed this way also, but haven't found a good way for the ornaments so I just packed them away. My brother made me a dowel tree to use but I don't have a place to put it so unfortunately so it sits in the corner of my craft room.
You have a needleroll in the right side of the basket that looks like has a ladybug design? I love the colors and wondered if you could tell me who the designer is. It looks similar to a NR I stitched from Lorri Birmingham.
Thanks Karen :-)
Well spotted lol, that needleroll it is a Lorri Birmingham. I've also stitched the little scissor fob that goes with it.
I don't have any display ideas, but your ornament is beautiful!
Marie, firstly, your basket of needlerolls is beautiful. I used to have mine in a basket which sat on the floor too but every time a visitor arrived at our place, Ben, (Labrador) would greet them with one of my needlerolls so now have half of them displayed on a silver tray and the other half in a basket (up high) I have a tiered cake stand on which I display some of my smalls but would really love a cabinet dedicated to this purpose. One day maybe!!
Chrissie
thanks for the info....will have to go look for it!
Beautiful basket of needlerolls!
Your little ornament is lovely but it wasn't in a needlework magazine...it's my freebie!
